Longitudinal partitions

The figure shows the partial replacement of timberwork using a variety of joint types, several of which are most commonly used in facade timberwork.

Interior main partitions in modern multi-storey housing are constructed of either prefabricated (lightweight) concrete elements or lightweight-aggregate blocks and no longer act as supports for the storey partitions.
