Gable anchors

In buildings with floors of hollow blocks or reinforced concrete proper, the connection between the exterior walls and storey partitions is performed using the standard method of reinforcing the floor and monolithically casting it into the load-bearing walls – the facades.
Anchoring to the non-load-bearing walls (gables) requires special reinforcement, e.g. in a concrete topping as shown in the figure to the right.
