Transverse partitions

1960-2000

Wall elements are 15 cm thick with a width here of 120 cm, and are not usually reinforced. They are equipped with through bolts for hoisting and mounting.

The end edges of the wall elements are designed with shear locks which ensure load transmission between the elements during pouring.

The floor elements are 18.5 cm thick with a width of 120 cm, and are "weakly" reinforced. The ends of the elements are equipped with load-bearing dowels that ensure maximum load transfer via the walls from overlying floors without stressing the floors.

Once the floor elements have been installed, reinforcement is applied in the joint between the floor ends; concrete is then poured to the top edge of the elements and tamped after the installation of the overlying wall.

The wall and floor elements are standardised and manufacturer independent; they are also available in widths of 180 cm and 240 cm and in lengths of up to 6 metres in increments of 30 cm.
